We regularly provide travel insurance that includes coelic disease.
We specialise in providing travel insurance for people with medical conditions and receive referrals from hospitals, GPs, clinics and medical charities from all over the UK.
We do need to ask you some questions about your coelic disease, in order to understand your individual circumstances. We will then be able to tell you if we can provide cover and, if so, what the premium is. The quickest and easiest way is to go through our online medical screening process, which keeps down our costs and therefore premiums.
There are two main types of claim that people make on travel insurance policies: cancallation and medical expenses.
As long as you've declared your coelic disease to us and we've accepted it for cover, cancellation and medical costs will be met.
Not only that but if you become ull towards the end of your trip and you can't come home on your planned return date, we'll cover the costs of your new travel arrangements and extra accommodation costs. We'll also cover the costs incurred by a partner or travelling companion if they have stayed with you. It is therefore very important that anyone travelling with you is covered by our policy so that any claim they need to make that could be in any way regarded as linked to your coeliac will be met. An 'ordinary' travel insurance might decline their claim on the same grounds as they might decline a claim made by you.
It's simply not worth travelling without specialist travel insurance that includes cover for coeliac disease.
