Cover for medical conditions

travel insurance for members of Scotwest Credit UnionIf you or any member of your family has any kind of pre-existing medical condition, it's important that it's included in the cover provided by our policy.

Even controlled and managed conditions such as blood pressure, heightened cholesterol, or any other condition that has been ongoing for 3 months is regarded as pre-existing.

In order to ensure you are covered, you need to declare any medical conditions when you book your policy. You will be asked questions about the condition(s) and, if we can provide cover, you will be given a premium quote. We can include cover for a wide range of medical conditions and we will do our best to include yours. If you are in any doubt about any condition, the simplest thing is to tell us about it so we can provide guidance and help.

What we are able to cover is based on a number of factors:

  • The nature of the medical condition
  • Where you are travelling
  • Whether you want cover for a single trip or multiple trips under an annual policy

We don't mean to be intrusive but we do need to understand your individual circumstances so that we can be clear with you about what we can and maybe what we can't cover.
