Holiday travel insurance if you have non-Hodgkins Lymphoma

Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma

Ensure you're protected when you travel by our policy

Holiday travel insurance if you have non-Hodgkin's lymphoma

We can often provide travel insurance that includes non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (subject to a medical screening).

Having non-Hodgkin's lymphoma doesn't necessarily mean that you can't travel again. What it does mean, though, is that you should be sure that your travel insurance policy includes cover for it, otherwise you're leaving yourself open to serious financial risk.

If you take out 'ordinary' travel insurance and need to make a medical claim, you take the risk that the insurer will determine that the claim was linked to your non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (even indirectly) and your claim will be declined. This leaves you open to serious financial risk.

We specialise in providing travel insurance that can include a wide range of medical conditions. In fact, we receive referrals from hospitals, GPs, clinics and medical charities from all over the UK.

Unfortunately, we can't guarantee to cover everyone with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma - it will depend on your individual circumstances. But we hope we can.

We will therefore need to ask you some questions, which will give us an understanding of your individual circumstances.

The quickest and easiest way is to go through our online medical screening process, which keeps down costs and therefore premiums.

What are the travel insurance implications if I have non-Hodgkin's lymphoma?

It's important to have cancellation cover in place when you've booked your holiday. This means that if you become ill and are unable to even begin your trip, claims to recoup your costs such as air fares and accommodation will be met.

As well as cancellation, you need to ensured you're covered for medical treatment, such as diagnostic tests or investigations, medication, hospital and nursing costs.

If you become ill towards the end of your holiday and are unable to travel back on the date you'd arranged, you will need to arrange new return travel. You might need to book further accommodation until you're ready to return home.

Remember, if a partner or travelling companion is with you, they will have these extra costs, too. It is therefore very important that anyone travelling with you is covered by our policy so that any claim they need to make that could be in any way regarded as linked to your non-Hodgkin's lymphoma will be met. An 'ordinary' travel insurance might decline their claim on the same grounds as they might decline a claim made by you.

In our opinion, it's simply not worth booking your trip without obtaining specialist travel insurance that includes cover for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
