The following frequently asked questions are only applicable to our Already Left UK policies, beginning with policy number IST.
If I caught COVID-19 abroad, would I be covered?
Yes, all It’s So Easy policies include cover for emergency medical expenses which includes those associated with COVID-19 whilst abroad.
Who underwrites your Already Left UK policies?
Our Left UK policies are underwritten by Millstream Underwriting Ltd, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority FRN 308584.
Who is eligible to buy a policy with It’s So Easy Travel Insurance?
Our policies are available to you if you are permanently resident in the United Kingdom (UK) and registered with a general practitioner (GP) in the UK.
Is there a delay before my cover takes effect?
Our Left UK policies will not take full effect for the first 72 hours. For example: if you require cover to start from the 1st September, you would need to take the policy out prior to the 28th August, with the start date also being the 28th August for the full cover to be in place for the 1st September. In the event of serious injury in connection with an accident, you will be covered from either the date you purchased the policy or from the start date, whichever is later. This is subject to the accident being witnessed and verified by an independent witness.
Do I need to declare all of my pre-existing medical conditions?
Yes. For your cover to remain valid, you need to declare any pre-existing medical condition that falls within our declaration questions. If you fail to disclose relevant medical information, then you may not be fully covered in the event of a claim.
Do you need to know the names of the medication I take?
We do not need the names of the medication or the dosage, only the condition that the medication is prescribed to treat or prevent.
Am I covered for cancellation?
As you have already travelled, there is no cancellation cover on our Left UK policies. There is no 14-day cooling off period when already travelling overseas so no refund of premium will be made in the event you cancel the policy.
Am I covered for hazardous activities on the policy?
We organise sports and activities into two categories according to risk. Those in L1 are covered as standard at no additional charge. If your activity is in category L2, please ensure this is included in your quote.
Can I extend my cover if I decide to stay longer?
Providing you haven’t reached our maximum duration for your age bracket, it might be possible for us to extend your cover if you’re unable to return home or decide to stay longer. Please contact our UK call centre by telephone or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
