Oops, did you travel without insurance? We can get you back on track
It's So Easy can provide specialist travel insurance cover if you have been diagnosed with various skin cancers including malignant melanoma. We consider cover for all forms of skin cancer, including squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma and malignant melanoma. To find out more about the signs and symptoms of melanoma visit www.nhs.uk/conditions/melanoma
If you have been diagnosed with any form of skin cancer it is important that you declare your condition to your travel insurers so that you are fully covered for anything that could be directly or indirectly related to your condition including cancellation cover or medical treatment abroad. Our medical screening system will ask what type of skin cancer you have been diagnosed with and how the condition has been treated, which allows us to assess the associated risk and offer a competitive insurance premium.
Our main concern is providing you with adequate cover for your personal needs. Regular travel insurance is not usually designed to include cover for pre-existing medical conditions, which means that should you require medical attention or need to cancel for any reason that’s directly or indirectly linked to your skin cancer, a regular policy may well decline your claim.
Most skin cancers including malignant melanoma are caused by the sun, which for most of us is the reason we travel! Always make sure that you apply sun cream on a regular basis and be wary of spending prolonged periods in the heat. It's advisable to discuss your travel plans with your GP, especially if this is your first trip since diagnosis or treatment, as they are best placed to offer advice based on your individual circumstances.

Applying for travel insurance once you have finished treatment could, in some circumstances, reduce the premium and make the cover easier to obtain. However, if you need the cover to start whilst you are still receiving treatment because you have a holiday booked and need cover for cancellation, you will need to declare the treatment and we will quote accordingly.
Single trip cover is available for trips up to 365 days in duration depending on the policy type selected.
We do not need the names of the medication or the dosage, only the condition that the medication is prescribed to treat or prevent.
