Oops, did you travel without insurance? We can get you back on track
We have developed a specialist travel insurance policy to cover serious medical conditions, including kidney, lung and heart transplants. Due to the nature of a transplant, cover may only be available on a single trip basis, but if you're set on finding annual multi-trip cover then please contact us on 01223 785 512 and we'll explore all cover options to find a suitable policy for you.
A heart transplant may be considered if you have severe heart failure, or suffer from multiple heart conditions with other forms of treatment failing to manage or improve your symptoms. According to data released by the British Heart Foundation, around 200 heart or heart-lung transplants are carried out on adults in the UK each year, with around 75% of patients living for at least 5 years following the procedure.
If you're currently on a waiting list for a transplant, cover will not be available online so please give us a call to discuss your insurance needs.
At It’s So Easy Travel Insurance, we understand that everyone’s circumstance is different, which is why we use a medical screening system developed by medical professionals to ask all the relevant questions about your diagnosis, so that we can find the best travel insurance for you. We'll need to ask questions such as when you had your transplant, why you required a transplant and whether you've had any episodes of rejection.
All travel insurance policies with It's So Easy cover emergency medical expenses, including those related to your existing condition once you have completed a medical screening. If you were to suffer an unforeseen change in health whilst abroad and required hospital treatment, rest assured we've got you covered. If you've insured with us and your condition deteriorates leaving you unfit to travel, you'll be covered for cancellation of your trip up to £5,000 per insured, depending on the cover level selected.
If you are travelling with a pre-existing medical condition such as a kidney transplant, we recommend consulting your GP as they are best equipped to advise you on how to stay fit and healthy whilst on your trip.

Yes. In order for your cover to remain valid, you need to declare any pre-existing medical condition that falls within our declaration questions. If you fail to disclose relevant medical information then you may not be fully covered in the event of a claim.
We do not need the names of the medication or the dosage, only the condition that the medication is prescribed to treat or prevent.
Our pre-existing medical condition policy is not available for one way trips. Your trip must start and end in the UK. View our One Way Trip product for a more suitable policy.
